摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing for heavy load suitable for sliding at a high surface pressure in a swinging state, having durability, and formed to be easily manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: A bearing alloy is formed of a ferrous sintered alloy of hardened structure, and comprises a tilted groove within a tilt angle of 10 to 40&deg; relative to a direction orthogonal to a sliding direction. The tilt groove is within the range of 2 to 8 mm in width, and the area thereof on the inner peripheral surface is within a range not exceeding 50%. A virtual line orthogonal to the sliding direction crosses both the bearing surface and the tilt groove even at any position on the inner peripheral surface of the bearing.
