<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment ink jet recording method which makes it possible to obtain a recording matter being excellent in color developing properties and having a wide color reproduction area and further a high mar resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A recording sheet the base of which has a base-side porous layer containing pigment particles and a binder and the upper layer of which is overlaid with a surface porous layer containing composite particles made up of the combination of colloidal silica with the surfaces of the resin particles, the colloidal silica and a water-soluble resin, is recorded by ink jet with a pigment ink which has a surface tension of 20-45 mN/m and a viscosity of 3-10 mPa s and a contact angle of 20-45° on the occasion of dropping onto the sheet for recording. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
