<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module with optical fiber marginal length processing tray capable of efficiently performing marginal length processing of optical fibers within a limited space of a small-sized optical module. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber marginal length processing tray made by disposing a guide for performing the marginal length processing by utilizing elasticity of the optical fibers is attached to a substrate in the optical module. The tray is provided with a groove capable of storing an optical fiber reinforcing sleeve and notches of securing the height limit of parts mounted on the substrate. As a result, the optical fiber marginal length processing tray which utilizes the elasticity of the fibers is arranged between the substrate and a case and, thereby, can be corresponded to the small-sized and highly integrated optical module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
