<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of properly realizing the increase in workability after restoration from jamming and the increase in the performance of the apparatus as the need arises without needlessly enlarging the scale of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 has a paper ejection tray 110, a 1st sensor 109a installed at a paper ejection port for ejecting paper to the paper ejection tray 110, a 2nd sensor 109b installed on paper conveyance path leading to the paper ejection port, and a memory for storing image data. The apparatus is constituted so that the image data corresponding to the paper P is erased at the point of time when the passage of the paper is detected by the 2nd sensor 109b if the apparatus is set in a 1st acting state, and the apparatus stands by to wait ready for operation to erase the image data until the passage of the paper is detected by the 1st sensor 109a if the apparatus is set in a 2nd acting state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
