<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a view interrupting time in a client, when there is abnormality of the stream distributing server itself or the distributing function. <P>SOLUTION: A stream control apparatus 200 monitors to check whether a packet received from a stream distributing server 100A is a packet to be monitored. As a result, if it is detected that a stream packet does not arrive normally when it is the packet to be monitored, the apparatus 200 transmits a rewrite requesting message to a stream distributing server 100B.
