PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for cars capable of displaying destination candidates suitable for users without having to input one's tastes. SOLUTION: The navigation system for cars stores information on a history of visits to facilities; statistical information on a user's tastes based on the history of visits to facilities; and statistical distance information on the distances between facilities visited and a registered user's house in an external storage medium. On the basis of the stored information, facilities within an average maximum direct distance from the user's house which have not yet been visited in the past but are suitable for the user's tastes are displayed as guidance destination candidates.
