PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably fix a top guide on the rod point made of a superelastic alloy. SOLUTION: This is an outer guide-equipped fishing rod that has a rod body made of superelastic alloy 10a at least on the rod point part where a prescribed position L1 in the range from the point of the rod body to 4 to 20 mm is made into a substantially straight part 10A and the straight part is followed by the steeply tapered part 10B that expands backward and the slowly tapered part is provided for smoothly connecting the steeply tapered part 10B to the straight part 10A.
