The print head of a needle matrix printer has a ring shaped yoke carrier [5] having a number of single yokes [4] having electromagnetic coils [6] on yoke arms [4a]. Armature elements [3] operate radially on the ends of the print head needles [7] and react against damping elements. The yoke elements are set into carrier material coated with heat conducting material [9].
