<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can perform double-side printing on a sheet to be recorded without using an expensive drive motor capable of rotating in both normal/reverse directions. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitting mechanism 100 for transmitting drive force to a switch back roller pair 40 is formed of a roller side gear 110 connected to the shaft 141 of the drive roller 40a of the switch back roller pair 40, a drive side gear part 120 having a drive gear 121 connected to the shaft 201 of the drive source for driving the switch back roller pair 40, an idling gear part 130 intervened between the roller side gear 110 and the drive side gear part 120, and a moving means 300 for moving the idling gear part 130.
