<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively extracting active constituents from e.g. sclerotia of Inonotus obliquus. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises adding a specified amount of mineral-containing purified water to Inonotus obliquus in the form of a ground raw material, ultrasonicating the mixture, cooking the ultrasonicated mixture, separating the cooked liquid, extracting and dissociating the active ingredients from the raw material by supplying electrons to the cooked raw material in the presence of vegetable-origin quinones, flavonoids, and proteases and an organic solvent, and keeping the mixture for a specified time, and mixing the obtained extracted and dissociated liquid with the previously separated cooked liquid, and subjecting the resulting mixture to sterilization and filtration. According to this method, it is possible not only to efficiently extract and fully utilize various active constituents from Inonotus obliquus but also to obtain an extract expected to have marked effects such as antitumor activity and blood glucose lowering action. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
