摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator constituted so as to jet reaction gas generated by reaction of chemicals after being sufficiently mixed with gas in a storage chamber. <P>SOLUTION: Pressurized gas is filled in the gas storage chamber 22 of a vessel 21. When carrying an electric current to an initiator 53, the initiator 53 generates high temperature gas, and the chemicals 52 generate a large quantity of gas when this high temperature gas contacts with the chemicals 52. A first sealing plate 43 for blocking up a first communicating port 41 is torn by this reaction gas pressure, and the reaction gas flows in the gas storage chamber 22. A second sealing plate 44 is torn when the gas pressure in the gas storage chamber 22 increases, and gas jets from a gas jetting port 10 via a second communication port 42 and a gas relay chamber 32. An air bag rapidly inflates by this gas. Since the reaction gas of the chemicals 52 flows so as to reciprocate in the gas storage chamber 22, the reaction gas and storage gas are sufficiently mixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
