<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing hydrogen, by which it becomes possible to reduce the energy loss, produce hydrogen at a low cost by a low operation cost and equipment cost, and realize small-scale production. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a hydrogen-containing gas by reacting a raw material including carbon or a hydrocarbon and steam, the hydrogen-containing gas is formed by reacting the raw material and steam contained in a combustion gas or separately supplied steam by heating the raw material in a reaction chamber to a high temperature through shock compression by transmitting shock wave by detonation formed by intermittent combustion of a fuel into the reaction chamber accommodating the raw material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
