<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission system which allows the communication charge to be cut down for sending image information by a simple operation for a user at the send side. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises a send side, a final address and a repeater MFP 200 for transferring image information from the end side to the final address. When the MFP 200 receives the image information from the send side and time limit information showing the time limit of delivery of the image information to the final address via a LAN 201, it stores the image information and the time limit information in an image storage 219 and a time limit information storage 221, respectively. The MFP 200 has a table 2171, etc. having stored communication charge information at each of different time slots for sending the image information to the final address using a public line 21, refers to the table 2171, etc. to retrieve the time slot of the cheapest communication charge for a time up to the delivery time limit, and, if this time slot comes, reads the image information from the image storage 219 and sends the information to the final address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
