PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recommended route corresponding to a destination without imposing a complicated operation burden on a user as to a navigation device. SOLUTION: This navigation device is provided with: a storage device 3 for storing therein map data including link information and distance search condition data to which search conditions used for search of a recommended route to the destination are parallelized for each prescribed distance; and an arithmetic processing part 1. The processing part 1 is caused to execute: a process for receiving an input on the destination; a process for detecting a present position; a process for finding a distance from the detected present position to the received destination by using map data to determine the search conditions parallelized to the found distance by using the found distance and the condition data; and a process for searching for the recommended route from the present position to the destination by using the link information according to the determined search conditions.
