PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device and a disk carrying-in method surely carrying a disk into a device main body irrespective of user's mean operation. SOLUTION: A control means 50 performs control to move a pair of guiding means 26 and 30 in a mutually approaching direction with respect to moving mechanisms 21 and 22 when the pair of guiding means 26 and 30 are moved more by a predetermined amount in a mutually separating direction than the disk holding position of an outer diameter discriminated by discriminating means 23, 29 and 50.
