PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device suppressing the influence of vibration. SOLUTION: This disk device includes: a disk driving part 12 for rotating a disk D; an optical pickup 15 for reproducing information from the disk or recording information therein; and a moving mechanism for moving the optical pickup in the radial direction of the disk. The moving mechanism includes: guide members 13A and 13B extended in the radial direction to guide the optical pickup; a feed screw 22 driven by a motor 21; and a rack member 17 fixed to the optical pickup and engaged with the feed screw. The press-contact force of the rack member to the feed screw is changed in a position to which the optical pickup moves. By properly adjusting the press-contact force, vibration propagated to the optical pickup is attenuated, and made uniform. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
