PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycling device, for a recording medium having a peeling layer thereon, capable of stably keeping the quality thereof by restraining the occurrence of waviness, a blemish or the like thereon even in repeated recycling thereof. SOLUTION: The recording material removing device 1 for the recording medium 74 is equipped with a 1st blade 47 coming into contact with the surface of a 1st peeling member 2 and removing the recording material 107, and a 1st supporting member 48 at a position where it is opposed to the 1st blade 47 in a state where the 1st peeling member 2 is held in between, and the 1st blade 47 is moved back and forth relating to the 1st peeling member 2 while pressing the 1st supporting member 48 in the state where the 1st peeling member 2 is held in between.
