PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting device excellent in flexibility capable of properly using a snow sensor other than an exclusive product while preventing the inconveniences of great rising of a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The snow melting device is equipped with the first receiving means T1 to T3 for receiving a signal from the predetermined snow sensor Sa, the second receiving means T4 for receiving a signal from another snow sensor Sb and a receiving mode selective means T5 capable of switching and selecting a receiving mode of a control section 4 to one of the first and second receiving modes, and when the first receiving mode is selected, the control section 4 can be decided whether or not there is a snowfall based on signals input in the first receiving means T1 to T3 from the snow sensor Sa, and on the other hand, it decides whether or not there is a snowfall based on ON/OFF of signal input to the second receiving means T4 when the second receiving mode is selected.
