A RECOMBINANT CANINE ADENOVIRUS TYPE-2 AND THE PREPARATION METHOD AND USAGE THEREOF

This invention discloses a recombinant canine adenovirus type-2 (CAV 2), its obtaining method and application. The recombinant CAV 2 is based on a vector CAV 2. The E3 region of the genome from vector CAV 2 is eliminated partly and the target gene or its expressing cassette is inserted to the nick position, and then the recombinant CAV 2 is obtained. The target genes of the present invention is glycoprotein and/or nucleoprotein genes of rabies virus. The recombinant CAV-2 >f the present invention has strict host specificity, plenteous immunogenicity and absolute protection. The inoculated animals could be survived from the fatal attacks of the CAV and rabies virus. This recombinant CAV 2 has the potential to replace the current vaccines and becomes the leading vaccine against animal rabies and CAV diseases and plays an important role in the prevention of worldwide cams rabies and CAV diseases. Moreover, this recombinant CAV 2 would also bring active effect in the prevention and control of human rabies.
