<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-component magnetic toner which is high in transfer rate, has little fogging, can maintain image density over a long period of time, and permits formation of high-definition images. <P>SOLUTION: The single-component magnetic toner contains at least binder resin and magnetic powder, wherein the toner is 6.0 to 9.0 μm in volume average grain size, 15 to 50% in degree of compaction, 0.950 in mean circularity, 15 to 50% in degree of compaction, and 0.950 to 0.960 in mean circularity, and the 0.10 to 0.50 mass% phosphorus element exists on the surface of the magnetic powder. The toner is suitably usable for an image forming apparatus, equipped with a photoreceptor of an amorphous silicon system and a developer carrier made of stainless steel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
