<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the storage capacity of a storage means required for the control of image forming conditions, for use as the storage means a low cost type, and to achieve a cost reduction, in an image forming apparatus designed such that image forming conditions, such as a bias voltage applied to a charging unit for charging an image carrier such as a photoreceptor drum, the image forming apparatus is controlled according to absolute humidity, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the storage means for storing some of bias conditions for determining the bias voltage applied to at least a charging means, a latent image writing means, or a development means; and a calculating means for calculating, based on some of the bias conditions stored in the storage means, the value of a desired bias voltage to be applied to at least the charging means, latent image writing means, or development means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
