<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the productivity and the fixing performance of printing compatible. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus having a fixing device which comprises a heat roller and a fixing roller so that at least a heating heater heating the heat roller is provided in the roller and is provided with a roller rotating mechanism rotating the heat roller or fixing roller circumferentially and a temperature detecting means of detecting temperature nearby the fixing roller has a judging means for fixation temperature before printing which rotates the fixing roller or heat roller by the roller rotating mechanism when a print request is received and determines whether the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means is high enough for printing and a fixing device passage determination means of determining whether printing operation corresponding to the print request received right before the current print request passes through the fixing device, and also has a printing operation start control means of starting printing operation according to determination results of both the determination means for temperature before printing and fixing device passage determination means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
