<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety lever operating structure in a hood latch assembly which operating structure affords a broader space under a hood, enables positive compliance to lows and regulations for protecting pedestrians, allows a bigger safety lever, and ensures convenient operability. <P>SOLUTION: According to the safety lever operating structure in the hood latch assembly, a lock pin is projected on one side of the latch, and a guide hole, in which the lock pin is inserted through movably, is formed on the safety lever located to be in contact with the lock pin. The safety lever is of a combination of an vertical body portion erected upward and a horizontal handle portion extended forward.
