<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the reconfiguration time of a forwarding path in an RPR network applied with STP. <P>SOLUTION: The RPR node device comprises a pair of RPR control sections 101 and 102 inserted into bidirectional dual ring lines having opposite transmission directivity and being connected, respectively, with one and the other bidirectional dual ring lines, and a bridge control section 103 being connected between the RPR control sections 101 and 102. A BPDU source node management section provided in the RPR control section specifies a node device to be monitored by itself, i.e. a BPDU source node device, based on predetermined STP information. A forwarding path trouble judging section judges trouble in both paths leading to the BPDU source node device based on predetermined trouble information and outputs a forwarding path reconfiguration signal when a decision is made that troubles are present in both paths. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
