PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment for a camera capable of removing a foreign matter adhering to the surface of an imaging element without necessitating complicated constitution, and a camera system. SOLUTION: The attachment 7 is attached to the aperture part 5 of a lens interchangeable type digital camera equipped with the imaging element 2 which converts incident light into an electrical signal, a nearly rectangular rotatable mirror 3 which is positioned between the imaging element 2 and an attachable/detachable imaging lens for forming an image with subject image luminous flux on the imaging element 2 and bends the subject image luminous flux going toward the imaging element 2 from the imaging lens to a finder part and the aperture part 5 to/from which a photographic lens is attached/detached. The attachment 7 has a wall member 7c having nearly the same shape as the curved surface shape of a moving locus drawn by the farthest side of the mirror 3 from a rotary shaft when the mirror 3 is operated to be rotated.
