PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image display apparatus using a flat display panel and capable of minimizing restriction generated due to the use of commercial power as a power supply source for driving. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus is provided with the flat display panel 2 and an installation means 3 on which the flat display panel 2 is installed and which includes a fuel battery 4 to be used as power supply source at the time of driving the flat display panel 2. Consequently the image display apparatus 1 using the flat panel display 2 and capable of minimizing restriction from whether a so-called outlet for receiving supply of commercial power is to be installed or not can be realized.
