PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycling device, for a recording medium having a peeling layer thereon, capable of stably keeping the quality thereof by restraining the occurrence of waviness, a blemish or the like thereon even in repeated recycling thereof. SOLUTION: The device is constituted so that the recording medium 74 is attached to a 1st peeling member 2 by melted or softened recording material 107 when it comes into contact with the overheated 1st peeling member 2, and is held by a holding and transporting part 5 until it is separated from the 1st peeling member 2, then is separated from the 1st peeling member 2 when the recording material 107 is cooled and solidified.
