PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for positional adjustment of a working roll by which the positional adjustment of the working roll can be simply and quickly, and moreover, always accurately executed without stopping its rotation. SOLUTION: When prescribed processing is executed to a sheet-like workpiece by successively passing it through a plurality of working stations, which are provided with the working roll 7 and a supporting roll 5 mutually making a pair and connected to a driving side member via a gear 14, in the method for positional adjustment of a working roll, correction of the relative position in the circumferential direction of the working roll 7 of a pre-stage side working station and that 7 of a post-stage side working station is executed by rotationally displacing the gear 14 in the circumferential direction to the working roll 7 by the positional adjustment of a reciprocating operation pin 22, which rotationally connects the working roll 7 and the gear 14, in the axial line direction of the working roll 7 in either of the working stations.
