PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outside mirror for a vehicle capable of suppressing loose of a fixing means due to a lubricant applied to a gear for driving. SOLUTION: A rib 46 is provided between a recessed part 44 of a plate 40 and a screw insertion hole 42, and a groove part 32 is provided between a storage part 26 for a clutch mechanism 60 of a gear case 25 and a screw hole 30. The plate 40 is fixed to the gear case 25 by a screw 80, and at that time, the rib 46 is inserted into the groove part 32. Even when grease 98 of a second worm gear 73 stored in a storage part 26 as a part of the gear for driving enters between the mounting surface 45 of the plate 40 and the mounting surface 31 of the gear case 25 thereby, the rib 46 and the groove part 32 can block off the grease 98 and suppress advancing of the grease 98 to the direction of the screw 80.
