PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating bit hardly chipped and having moderate biting property in excavating the hard ground, a concrete pile, or the like, and to provide an excavating head preventable from escape caused by the tip deviation of a working rod in crushing treatment of the concrete pile or the like. SOLUTION: A flank of a tip mounted to the excavating bit is formed in circular arc shape, and an angle defined by the flank and a rake face is 90°plus or minus 10°, wherein the rake face is formed in gentle chevron shape.
