PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corner member securing and quake resisting hardware capable of not only constructing columns and beams with specified strengths by using only square timbers with rather small diameters but also easily constructing despite of its simple structure and sufficiently coping with even large earthquake since it provides a very high reinforcement effect to a framework. SOLUTION: Holes 1A and 2A for passing long bolts 4 therein are formed in the side faces of the square timbers 1 and 2 with sides of 120 mm. The square timbers 1 and 2 are abutted on each other on the right and left side surfaces, a pair of L-shaped square member securing hardware 3A and 3B are applied to both side corner parts of the square members 1 and 2 in a diagonal direction, and they are fixedly tightened with a through bolt 4. The vertical contact pieces 7 of the hardware 3A and 3B are slightly shorter than twice the side lengths of the square timbers 1 and 2, and the lateral contact pieces 8 thereof are equal in length to the side lengths of the square timbers 1 and 2. Bolt insertion holes 10A and flange parts in contact with the vertical side surfaces of the square timbers 1 and 2 are formed at the center fitting recessed parts 10 of the lateral contact pieces 8.
