PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type vacuum cleaner, hardly causing entering of water drops to a separator from the surface of a water tank, reducing the size and weight of the water tank and a vacuum cleaner, and further improving the efficiency of catching fine dust. SOLUTION: In this wet type vacuum cleaner, intake air sucked together with dust is passed through water stored in the water tank 20 to remove dust, and after that, the water is separated by a separator 30 and the air is exhausted by an electric blower 22. The vacuum cleaner includes a baffle plate 40 covering the upper side of the intake air surfaced from the water surface between the water level of the water tank 20 and the separator 30, wherein the baffle plate 40 prevents water drops sprung from the intake air surfaced from the water surface from sprinkling over the separator 30.
