In a device using biometric signal (1), a device control unit (102) controls the device according to operation of a user (50). The operation content is presented to the user (50) via an operation presentation unit (103). A biometric signal detection unit (104) measures a biometric signal of the user (50). From this biometric signal, a signal detection unit (105) detects presence/absence of an event-associated potential at the moment when 600 ms plus a predetermined shift time have elapsed from the timing when the operation content is presented as the start point. When the event-associated potential is detected, an operation cancel unit (106)instructs the device control unit (102) to cancel the operation content presented.
