<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side view type optical tube for surgical microscopes for observing lining of a cavity like affected area. <P>SOLUTION: The distal end portion 10 of a cylindrical body 11 is inserted inside the cavity like affected area 27, and illuminating light A from a surgical microscope 1 is emitted to the lining 27a sideways from an illumination window 16 of the distal end portion 10. Sideways observation light B reflected at the lining 27a is taken in from an observation window 17, and is guided to the side of the surgical microscope 1. Consequently, the lining 27a of the affected area 27 is reliably observed. A bottom surface 27a of the affected area 27 is observed as usual by turning the cylindrical body 11 about a hinge part 13 to the outside of an observation range of the surgical microscope 1 with an attachment part 12 attached to the surgical microscope 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
