<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially-oriented polyester film which is excellent in gas barrier properties such as oxygen gas barrier properties, mechanical properties such as elastic modulus, gloss, printability, metalizability, coatability, and rolling-up properties and can be manufactured at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This biaxially-oriented polyester film comprises a polyester and a poly(m-xyleneadipamide).
