摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a temperature of a processor within a temperature range in which the processor is guaranteed to normally operate while minimizing the drop in its performance. <P>SOLUTION: A heat evolution value estimating part 110 obtains the number of subprocessors under operation and the present operational frequencies, and estimates the heat evolution value after a period of timeΔt. A temperature control part 120 estimates a temperature after a period of timeΔt based on the present temperature inputted from a temperature sensor 400 and the estimated heat evolution value, and compares it with a prescribed threshold value temperature. When the temperature reaches a prescribed threshold value temperature, the temperature control part 120 obtains the number of subprocessors, which can be used in parallel after a period of timeΔt, from a task management part 121, and finds transitional operation points by referring to a performance table 122. A subprocessor control part 130 and a frequency control part 140 change the number of operations of the subprocessors and the operational frequencies in accordance with the operation points.
