PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifier for CATV for avoiding a noise influence by using a cabinet of integrated structure, which is capable of efficiently radiating internal heat to the outside, while preventing the component deterioration and the variation of component characteristics. SOLUTION: The amplifier includes the cabinet having an amplifier accommodation room (26) and a power supply accommodation room (42) mutually shielded electromagnetically. Thus, an electromagnetic noise influence from one room to the other, and an electromagnetic noise influence from/to the outside can be eliminated. Also, with the provision of a radiation section (11) formed on the rear face of a chassis (2), heat generated in the chassis (2) (heat generated in an amplification section and a power supply section) can be released to the outside.
