PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination structure for a car instrument capable of improving the visibility and the appearance by showing as if light is emitted from the periphery of the back area of the instrument. SOLUTION: The illumination structure 1 for a car instrument comprises: the light guide plate 2 provided in the back area of the instrument; and light-emitting diodes 3 provided under the lower edge of the light guiding plate 2. At the periphery part S of the light guide plate 2 the reflection member 4 is formed so as to show as if the light is emitted from the periphery part S by reflecting the light emitted from the light-emitting diodes 3.
