PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooking stove capable of providing high heat efficiency by improving heat transfer efficiency between combustion gas and cooking container. SOLUTION: The combustion gas (including flame) is jetted obliquely upward from a flame hole 17 of a burner 14 so as to wholly twist in a burner circumferential direction. The combustion gas flows into a plurality of spirally partitioned combustion gas passages, and it passes to an outer side while colliding into grate pawls 22. In other words, the combustion gas is exhausted in an outer circumferential direction along a cooking container P bottom while it is guided in a spiral swirl by the grate pawls 22. As a result, since a flow of the combustion gas is disturbed by constantly receiving force of direction change in the combustion gas passage, a heat transfer boundary film is not formed in the cooking container P bottom, and heat of the combustion gas is favorably transferred to the cooking container P bottom.
