PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core for casting whose manufacturing method is simple, and whose strengths and dimensional precision are sufficient and which has excellent collapsibility, and which can easily be removed from a product after casting. SOLUTION: The core for casting is obtained by melting, casting and forming while using raw material obtained by adding and mixing one or more kinds of alkaline earths into one or more kinds of electrolytes so that the content of the alkaline earths after forming becomes 0.5-50 vol%. Further, refractories other than the alkaline earths and the alkaline earths can be added and mixed so that the total volume does not exceed 50 vol%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
