PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an excellent diaphragm for speaker which has no occurrence of a problem such as tear, can be formed with high accuracy even in the case of a diaphragm having a complicated shape, and can establish compatibility between performance improvement as a speaker and satisfactory productivity. SOLUTION: The method of producing this diaphragm for speaker gradually controls the pressure and flow rate of compressed air at the time of pressure forming to form a sheet-like film material. A sheet-like film material previously prepared as a diaphragm material is thrown, a die is clamped while applying heat by die heating, and pressure is applied by air pressure to mold along the die. Molding is performed by controlling the pressure of compressed air in a multiple stages in such a way that primary compressed air is injected, then, the pressure is changed to inject secondary compressed air, and the pressure is further changed to inject ternary compressed air. After that, the die is opened when the temperature is lowered by cooling the die and the shape becomes stable, the product is left from the die to pick up a molded diaphragm 27.
