The invention relates to an acoustic protection system for securing a determined area and remotely controlling a potentially-hostile individual or group of individuals located in said area. The inventive system comprises: at least one set of N electroacoustic sound sources (11) which form a network; and a generator for creating N electric signals from the same reference signal, which can be individually phase controlled. According to the invention, each electric signal drives a determined sound source (11), such as to produce a resulting emission having a pattern which is a function of the direction of the area and of the distribution of the desired quiet areas and active areas. The device also comprises means for determining the relative positions of different sources following the deployment thereof, which limits the positioning constraints imposed on operators responsible for deployment and increases deployment speed. The invention falls within the more general field of non-lethal protection devices. |
