There is provided a radiation generator in which utilization efficiency of radiation can be enhanced greatly by converging generated radiation entirely on the spot in a specified direction and the intensity can also be enhanced. In the radiation generator generating radiation by striking targets (13, 14) with a charged particle beam, radiation is converged or diverged by using means (13, 14) having a converging effect or diverging effect of radiation as a radiation generating target placed on the orbit of the charged particle beam. Since generated radiation can be converged entirely on the spot in a specified direction, utilization efficiency of radiation can be enhanced greatly.
