<p>The invention relates to a light self-supporting precast slab which can be quickly mounted to pre-fabricated beams of the type used for the construction of viaducts, bridges and similar. The invention is characterised in that the lower part of the slab is equipped with projections which: increase the useful height of the assembly, provide the bridge with greater openings, enable large-diametered tubes and pipes to be installed inside the beam, and enable same to be handled and transported along public roads in compliance with current regulations relating to the transport of items with large dimensions. The invention is particularly advantageous in that it provides the bridge with greater openings and enables the installation of pipes and tubes having a larger diameter than the height of the beam for large bridges or viaducts. The precast slabs can be placed on and assembled to the beams quickly and easily, but safely. Moreover, the weight of the assembly is reduced owing to the section of the slab, thereby facilitating the transportation and placement thereof.</p> |
