[Class 65 (ii)] In a hinge of the type comprising two hinge members c, c<1> connected by a hinge pin b with a bearing member on the pin between the hinge members, the bearing member a is of conical formation at one end and hemispherical at the other. The conical part provides a bearing without play, self-adjusting for wear, for the upper (movable) hinge member c, while the spherical part seating in the lower (fixed) member c<1> provides adjustment for misalignment of the hinges. In the form shown, the bearing member a is loose on the hinge pin b, but it may be fixed to or formed integral with the pin. The parts may be held together as shown by a compression spring f acting on the member c<1> and a nut on the end of the pin b, and the upper part of the pin may be bored as shown for lubrication of the member c, a grease nipple being provided on the end of the pin if desired. The bearing member a may be of metal or of self-lubricating material.
