The device has a wound ribbon cable (10) between the end points arranged in a cassette with at least two mutually parallel conductors embedded in insulation for connection to external conductors. The cassette consists of a rotor and a stator connected to the end points with the wound body of the ribbon cable between them. The cable casing material (16) is enclosed by a thin coating of interlaced insulating material (17) with very good sliding properties so that the friction between the ribbon cable and the plastic parts of the cassette is minimized.
