PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery, capable of surely preventing malfunction of a PTC element within a sealing body or an explosion-proof valve by sufficiently suppressing the penetration of an electrolyte into inside of the sealing body from between an inner gasket and a member which compresses the inner gasket. SOLUTION: This sealed battery has a cylindrical outer can with bottom into which a power generating element is housed to constitute a battery main body part, and a sealing body for sealing the opening part of the outer can, an inner gasket 15 for sealing a sealing body inner part from the battery main body part is installed within the sealing body, and projections 15 and so on are formed on both surfaces of the inner gasket 15. If the projections 15b are formed on both surfaces of the inner gasket 15, the projections are compressed adequately, and the penetration of an electrolyte into the inside of the sealing body from between the inner gasket and the member which compresses the inner gasket can be adequately suppressed. |
