<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leader pin holding mechanism for a magnetic recording/ reproducing device for surely holding a leader pin at a leader block by preventing the deterioration and dust generation of components by wear. <P>SOLUTION: The leader block 10 of the leader pin holding mechanism for the magnetic recording/reproducing device which holds the leader pin attached to one end of a magnetic tape by the leader block 10 in drawing the magnetic tape out of a tape cartridge is provided with a hook 10a to grab the leader pin, thereby supporting a leader block door 11 of an opening/closing type to open and seal the hook 10a. When the leader block 10 is inserted into the tape cartridge, the leader block door 11 opens and when the leader block 10 rotates, the leader pin is grabbed and the leader block 10 is closed to hold the leader pin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
