Continuous mixing apparatus for food dough comprising a centrifugal mixing tool and a lateral outlet, method and installation

The continuous dough mixer has a mixing chamber (1) of circular cross-section containing a mixing implement (2) with at least one radial arm (18), rotated about an axis (A) by a drive (3). The mixing chamber has one inlet (14a) for solid ingredients, a second inlet (14b) for liquid ingredients, and an outlet (15) for the dough mixture. The two inlets are in the upper wall of the chamber, with the inlet for solid ingredients in line with the axis of rotation and the inlet for liquids offset radially from it by a distance equivalent to 40 - 60 per cent of the chamber's radius. The liquid inlet is located in advance of the outlet in relation to the direction of rotation, and is fitted with a nozzle (30) that allows the liquid to be introduced in a conical flow. The mixture outlet has a duct (31) lying at an angle of 0 - 90 degrees to the mixing chamber's radius.
