The present invention describes an alternate method for inducing gonadal maturation by injecting retinol palmitate. Said compound presents bioactive properties with regard to the ability of inducing gonadal maturation in Litopenaeus vannamei shrimps. The bioactive action of said molecules is explained by the capability thereof to act as an activator for the local production of morphogenic indicators during the oocyte differentiation. A process for the biological-environmental control is established while handling captivated species for optimising the inducing ability of said metabolite.
